Magee Hickey

Magee Hickey is a reporter for CBS 2 News, where she contributes to the early morning, noon, 5 PM and 6 PM newscasts as a featured correspondent. She has spent close to twenty years covering local news in New York City.

In recent years, Hickey has focused on child care and health issues for women in their thirties and forties. Prior to CBS 2, Hickey was a correspondent for "She-TV," the Discovery Health show. Before that, she hosted "Parent to Parent" and "Real Women," two weekly shows on Cablevision's MetroGuide channel. Hickey was also the first anchor of the highly successful "Weekend Today in New York" newscast.

She has won wide recognition for her investigative journalism, including an Emmy award in 1992 for her yearlong reports on New York City's Emergency Medical Services.

Hickey graduated from Brown University in 1977. A native New Yorker, she still resides in Manhattan with her husband and their two daughters.
