Deborah Garcia
Deborah Garcia joined WCBS-TV as a general assignment reporter in October 2006. Prior to joining WCBS-TV, Garcia served as general assignment reporter for WKMG-TV in Orlando, Florida. While in Orlando, Garcia reported on the busy 2004 hurricane season from areas severely damaged by the storms and covered the central Florida brush fires of 2006. Before WKMG, she served as general assignment reporter and substitute anchor for Capital News 9 in Albany, N.Y. Garcia served as assistant producer for CBS News' "Up to the Minute" in 2000. She started her career at Neighborhood Network News in Boston as an Intern, and moved on to be general assignment reporter. Garcia is a graduate of Boston University. She currently resides in Manhattan and is excited to be back in the tri-state area and close to her family in New Jersey.
