Megan Glaros
Megan Glaros joins CBS 2 as the weekend morning meteorologist and Entertainment Reporter. Glaros comes from WPLG-TV in Miami, Florida where she worked as morning and noon meteorologist.
While at WPLG-TV, Glaros forecasted for some of the most active hurricane seasons on record. She played an integral part in the stations continuous coverage of hurricanes Katrina, Rita, and Wilma, among others. Glaros is a member of the National Weather Association and the American Meteorological Society. In 2006, she earned the prestigious AMS Seal of Approval.
Active in the community, Glaros also hosted a live one-hour Monday Night Football countdown show for WPLG from different locations in South Florida. In addition, Glaros hosted a weekly feature segment titled "Megan on the Move", which featured what's new and interesting in and around South Beach and beyond. Also in Miami, she filled in on Good Morning America on many occasions.
Glaros previously worked for Sinclair Broadcast Group's News Central operation, where she forecasted for as many as four different cities a night. She started her career in Parkersburg, West Virginia at WTAP-TV.
Glaros grew up on the Southside of Chicago. She earned a double major in journalism and atmospheric sciences from Indiana University.
