Another body has been found in the rubble from Saturday's sudden crane collapse on Monday afternoon, raising the death toll in the tragic incident to 6, CBS 2 has learned.
This discovery, confirmed by the NYPD, comes hours after the fifth body was found earlier Monday morning.
Rescue crews are searching for one last missing person. Investigators believe they have pinpointed the cause of the collapse as they take the crane apart, piece-by-piece.
The two people found Monday were construction workers, authorities confirm. The Saturday collapse injured dozens of people and damaged
six buildings.
A seventh woman who was visiting the city for St. Patrick's Day festivities is still missing. Authorities believe she was in a nearby town house that was demolished when the crane came crashing down.
