Flash Flood Warning Issued For Suffolk County
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Suffolk County until 4:15 p.m.
The doppler radar indicated flash flooding from thunderstorms training over the region.
The same warning was also extended for New London County in southern Connecticut, also until 4:15 p.m.
In addition, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for south central Sullivan County in New York until 2:15 p.m.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall can cause flooding of urban areas, including highways, streets and underpasses. Those in Suffolk County, Long Island and New London County, Connecticut are advised to proceed with extra caution.
