Republican presidential candidate John McCain is in Pennsylvania for a two-day campaign visit.
McCain arrived in Erie late Sunday afternoon with his wife Cindy. Their trip will include stops in Harrisburg, Lancaster and York.
The McCains had dinner Sunday with former Gov. Tom Ridge, a co-chairman of McCain's campaign.
The two Republicans will tour the GE Transportation locomotive plant today and McCain will speak to employees in a town-hall format.
The event is closed to the public.
Ridge is thought to be on a list of possible running mates, and their campaign swing through Pennsylvania has fueled more vice presidential speculation.
Ridge told The Times-News in a telephone interview Sunday night their dinner conversation did not include talk about it.
