Staten Island Home Invasion Turns Into Sex Assault

Reporting

NEW YORK (CBS) ―
Police are searching for the men who attacked three people inside a Staten Island home. A security camera captured all three men as they entered the home.
At about 5:30 a.m. Sunday, the suspects allegedly broke into a home on Park Avenue in the Port Richmond section of Staten Island. They brandished a weapon, then demanded money from the three victims inside.
According to police, two men were beaten, and a 48-year-old woman was sexually assaulted.
One of the men, who asked to remain anonymous, told CBS 2 he was just getting out of the shower when he felt a gun poking into his side. That's when the suspects forced him into the bedroom and took his watch, wallet, and cell phone.
The building is one of several apartment houses along the Park Avenue stretch. The victim believes the suspects just rang the buzzer at the front door until someone let them in.
"The guy that had the gun on me told me to 'Lay down flat, put a pillow on your head,'" he said. "I said, 'God, this is where i'm gonna get my bullet,' because I saw them."
The suspects are described as men in their 20s wearing baseball caps with the letter 'B' on them.
At this time it is unclear if the attack was random or planned. If you have any information regarding the home invasion, please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
