Plyometric exercises are a great way to improve our power and endurance for almost all sports. But did you know that these jumping/explosive exercises are an excellent way to strengthen and build muscle and bones (which, in turn, can help ward off osteoporosis).
Recent studies show that women who jumped vertically 300 times a week increased bone mass in their hips by 2.8 percent.
Jumping (plyos) shocks our bones, causing bone mass to build.
But you have to do these exercises right! Watch the video to see some simple and safe jumping exercises that you can at home to burn calories, "jump" start your metabolism and increase your bone mass.
