The NYPD is on the lookout Tuesday morning for a brazen bank robber. The man is accused of holding up nearly a dozen banks throughout Manhattan and Queens.
His M.O. is pretty straightforward. Police say the suspect caught in a number of surveillance photos has walked into at least 10 banks in the past two months displaying a black handgun, demanding money right in broad daylight.
The suspect then flees on foot, with an unknown amount of cash each time. Most of the suspect's targets have been in midtown.
The first robbery occurred on January 7 at the Metropolitan Bank on Broadway. Most of the other banks have been in the same vicinity, with a few exceptions; Gold Street in Manhattan and Jackson Avenue in Long Island City.
The robber is described as a black male in his 20s or 30s, 6'2" and 200 lbs.
