Bomb Threat Delays Flights At LI MacArthur Airport

Call Made Regarding Southwest Airline Flight Headed To Chicago

RONKONKOMA, N.Y. (CBS) ― At least four outgoing flights have been delayed at New York's MacArthur Airport after a bomb threat was called into a Southwest Airlines office in Houston.

Officials with the town of Islip, which operates the Long Island airport, and a Southwest spokeswoman said the threat was received about Flight 2622 from Long Island to Chicago. It was called into Southwest's reservations office in Houston shortly before the scheduled takeoff at 7 a.m. Friday.

Chopper 2 HD captured images of TSA officials and bomb-sniffing dogs sweeping the terminal and the affected plane. The Southwest concourse was evacuated into the main terminal while Suffolk Police Department completed their investigation.
