Delaware Latest Stop In 'Fake' Rockefeller Mystery

Police Believe Mass. Man And Abducted Daughter Spotted At Car Dealership In Smyrna

Woman Who Drove Pair From Boston To New York Says She Was Duped Into Role

NEW YORK (CBS) ― There's reportedly been another sighting of a missing girl from Massachusetts who was allegedly abducted by her father. The international search for Reigh Rockefeller now stretches from Boston to New York to points farther south.

While investigators searched New York's high seas for Clark Rockefeller's 72-foot catamaran, he and his abducted daughter, Reigh, were reportedly spotted at a car dealership in Smyrna, Delaware Tuesday afternoon. A woman there says she saw the 7-year-old girl wearing a flowered dress, possibly one of the 2 dresses Boston police say her father recently bought her.

Boston police late Tuesday confirmed that they have found the SUV adorned with Red Sox stickers and a Red Sox license plate they say was used to kidnap Reigh and are interviewing the operator of the vehicle.

The woman who claims she drove Clark and Reigh from Boston to New York City says she had no idea she was taking part in the plot.

Aileen Ang, 30, of Ipswich, told WBZ Radio Wednesday she was a friend of Clark Rockefeller, 48, of Boston.

Ang said Rockefeller called her Sunday looking for a ride to New York City, because he wanted to see a new boat he had just purchased. She met them at the Boston Sailing Center and then drove them to Grand Central Terminal in midtown Manhattan for $500.

"She was happy playing in the back. She was actually saying - I can't quote exactly - but it was kind of like 'I love you too much daddy," and he would just respond 'I love you even more.'"

Ang said it wasn't until after she dropped them off that a friend called her and told her about the Amber Alert that was issued for Rockefeller and his daughter.

Ang called 911 and then spent two hours telling New York City Police what happened and what Rockefeller told her in the car.

"Nobody knew for sure what he was actually going to do because he could have just been feeding me lines to make me think something else."

Rockefeller has used at least four known aliases and told people he met different stories about his background. Some acquaintances knew

The last time Reigh "Snooks" Boss was seen was Sunday around 7:30 p.m. near Grand Central Terminal. Just hours earlier her father, who is involved in a bitter divorce and custody battle with his London-based ex-wife, met his child and a social worker on a supervised visit in Boston's posh Beacon Hill neighborhood. During the visit, Rockefeller suddenly and forcefully pushed the social worker aside and leaped into a black SUV that had just screeched to the curb. Rockefeller and his daughter got in the vehicle and sped off.

On Tuesday NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly said that a woman came forward admitting that she brought the father and child from Boston to New York unaware there was an AMBER alert out for little Reigh at the time. It's unclear if this woman was the one driving the car in Massachusetts at the time of alleged abduction.

"The woman goes to the 114 Precinct in Queens. She states that he made references to a yacht or boat named 'Serenity,' but there are 380 vessels named Serenity so we are checking with marinas," Kelly said.

One such Serenity was in Sag Harbor. Captain Kal Moore was smiling when CBS 2 HD caught up to her, but it was a different story earlier when her catamaran -- chartered out of Sag Harbor -- was suddenly surrounded by the Coast Guard and furiously searched for the missing girl.

Police say the mysterious father claimed to be related to the Rockefeller clan, but a spokesman for that family confirmed to CBS 2 HD that he is not. The father, who goes by several aliases, purchased the 72-foot yacht, reportedly as part of his plan to escape with his daughter to the Bahamas, Alaska or even Peru.
