The Eyeclops magnifies objects 200 times and projects them to your TV.

The wings of an insect make for fascinating viewing when magnified. Even a $10 bill shows the grain and the gold strands embedded in the paper.

Attention all ants, grasshoppers and houseflies: Beware! Hop away, crawl away or fly away, because we're looking for you!
I turned my TV into a microscope this week, and my interest in the tiny world around me has magnified, so to speak.
Imagine being able to check out any household object at 200 times its actual size. From clothing to currency, and from rocks to rugs, the EyeClops Bionic Eye magnifier brought even the minutest objects into clear focus on a standard television set.
Given the highly competitive marketplace for scientific and learning toys this holiday season, what makes the EyeClops appealing as a parent is its simplicity of use and how quickly it can inspire the littlest learners to want to see more.
Sand from the sandbox morphed into a kaleidoscope of sparkling gemstones; the wing of a dragonfly became a rainbow of colors and textures.
The EyeClops is a handheld device, powered by AA batteries. Plug it into your TV, turn it on, and you can start magnifying right away.
LED lights illuminate your subjects, which can be contained in an observation dish and observation tube, which are included in the set.
Be aware that because the EyeClops only does one thing (magnify), continued interest in the toy could eventually slip.
The EyeClops by Jakks Pacific is available this holiday season for around $49.99.
