The controversial radio host Don Imus announced that he is battling stage II prostate cancer on his radio show on Monday morning, CBS 2 HD has learned.
There is no word on the prognosis for the 68-year-old entertainer.
Imus found himself at the center of a storm in 2007 after he called members of the Rutgers Women's Basketball team "nappy-headed hos." The once prominent broadcaster was fired by CBS.
Imus returned to the airwaves when he was hired by ABC later in 2007.
