People Said To Offer $6M For J. Lo Twins Photo

Jennifer Lopez, Babies Under Heavy Security At New York Hospital

MANHASSET, N.Y. (CBS) ― A pair of special deliveries arrived for Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony on Friday morning. The singers are now the proud parents of twins, reports CBS station WCBS-TV in New York.

And they got the best of both worlds -- a boy and a girl.

"Jenny from the Block" is now mommy from the block. Lopez and hubby Anthony will no longer just be singing to crowds. They will also be singing lullaby's to their newborn twins.

People magazine has reportedly offered $6 million for the first pictures of the twins.

Before giving birth, the pair talked about the pregnancy.

"(I'm) very excited you know, of course, very happy," Lopez said. "We have those moments panic … terror … just a little flutter like its real. All of the time I have been pregnant I've only had two moments like that. The rest has been pure bliss."

According to People magazine the girl came into the world at 12:12 a.m. Friday weighing 5 pounds, 7 ounces. The little boy came at 12:23 a.m. weighing 6 pounds.

Local residents are happy for the star couple.

"Kids bring you the best joy in the world, so twins, that's double trouble. I wish her the best, but she has a lot of money so they will have the world at their feet," said Mark Simon of New Hyde Park.

"I would love to be one of her twins, actually. I would kill to be one of her twins."

"Hopefully she'll still do her acting and her singing career, but it's hard to juggle two kids plus all that at the same time," said Jason Fitzgerald of Elmont.

At North Shore Hospital, where Lopez reportedly had the babies, security has definitely been tight, to avoid cameras getting too close and to protect the singers' privacy.

"Good for her," said Lisa Ferrara of Middle Village. "Hope she's a good mother. I am sure she will be."

Lopez and Anthony were married in 2004, and until recently the pair was pretty tight lipped about the pregnancy, waiting until November to confirm the news.

These are Lopez's first children, and the fourth and fifth for her husband.
