Designer Claims He Was Head-Butted By Sutherland
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
New York City police are investigating claims by a fashion designer who says actor Kiefer Sutherland head-butted him outside a Manhattan nightclub.
Jack McCollough reported the incident happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday and says he was cut on his face. A law enforcement official says McCollough claims Sutherland attacked him after an argument at the club in the fashionable SoHo neighborhood. The official spoke on the condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing.
Detectives are planning to interview Sutherland and possibly Brooke Shields who may have seen the incident. No arrests have been made.
Calls to representatives for Sutherland, Shields and McCullough were not immediately returned.
Sutherland is most widely associated with the role of "Jack Bauer," on the critically acclaimed television series "24."
