Michael Jackson's family ordered an independent autopsy because of questions surrounding the legendary singer's death.
"He just passed a physical test, and from that to the massive cardiac arrest at least creates some concern," said Rev. Jesse Jackson, a family friend.
An autopsy by the medical examiner's office took place Friday, but the cause of death is still unknown pending further testing.
Jackson's private cardiologist, Doctor Conrad Murray, was interviewed by police Saturday.
There are reports the doctor administered a shot of the narcotic painkiller Demoral shortly before Jackson went into cardiac arrest.
A spokeswoman for the doctor says he answered any and all questions and cleared up some inconsistencies. Murray has hired a Houston law firm.
"Dr. Murray is not a suspect in the investigation of Michael Jackson's death. He is a witness," said Matt Alford of the Stradley, Chernoff and Alford Law Firm.
Jackson's three children have joined the rest of the family at their compound in Encino, California. The question of who will now care for the kids remains unanswered.
Outside the home, fans were trying to comfort the family, and also deal with their own grief about the passing of a music legend.
They're leaving behind signs, stuffed animals and flowers.
The Jacksons were debating how best to remember Michael, weighing options from a private ceremony to a worldwide celebration of his life.
Jackson's father released a statement to People Magazine, saying the family is devastated. He also asked Michael's fans to continue spreading his message.
So his legacy lives on.
