Accuser Testifies Against 'Sopranos' Creator
TRENTON (AP) ―
"Sopranos" creator David Chase is expected to take the witness stand in federal court in Trenton tomorrow.
Jurors today heard from the former judge who claims Chase never compensated him for his help.
Robert Baer told jurors he trusted Chase and never had a contract.
Baer says he arranged a three-day tour of mob sites in Newark, Elizabeth, Jersey City and Atlantic City in 1995.
Baer says the topic of compensation arose several times, but he declined payment. He said if the show went nowhere his services were "on the house," but if it was a success he would be taken care of.
"I'd rather take the risk," Baer testified.
