The man accused of stalking and threatening talk show host and former supermodel Tyra Banks has been found guilty, CBS 2 has learned.
Brady Green, 38, was arrested after allegedly showing up at the Chelsea Studio where Banks films her talk show. He's accused of threatening to kill one of her producers and of sending the supermodel flowers and love letters.
Banks took the stand on Wednesday to testify against Green and described the moment she knew Green was more than a fan.
"I was at work one day about to leave and a bunch of people on my staff said, 'No! You can't go. [Green] got past security and you need to be here.' Never in my career had staff reacted like this," Banks said. "I fear for my safety. I feel extremely vulnerable. I fear for the safety of my staff. My family. The people in my vicinity."
Green's lawyer claimed his client is a harmless fan and suggested the former Victoria's Secret model herself should share blame for having such an approachable on-air personality.
Banks said Wednesday she's a lot more guarded now. "My life has changed significantly. I like to walk around my neighborhood. I run outside. I like to go to the movies by myself, eat meals by myself," Banks said.
She only goes out now when security guards are there to protect her.
Green, who's been described as a drifter from Georgia, had pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor stalking and harassment charges. He now faces up to 90 days in jail.
