NY Police: No Bias In Attack On Inflatable Bunny

CORTLANDT, N.Y. (CBS/AP) ― State police say an attack on a 5-foot-tall inflatable rabbit in the New York suburbs was a prank rather than a bias crime.

The Easter yard decoration was punctured and deflated Sunday in the yard of Isabel Gonzalez. She says her inflatable snowman was also vandalized at Christmastime.

Gonzalez wondered if her Hispanic ethnicity or her religion was being targeted. The Westchester County district attorney's office asked state police to investigate.

But Trooper Sean Moran said Thursday that two teenagers have been arrested and the motive wasn't bias. They were charged with criminal mischief.

Gonzalez says she feels better.
