Leonhard, injured in last Sunday's loss to Jacksonville, returned to practice Friday and participated in individual drills as well as some team activities while wearing a cast on his hand. <br />

The Jacksonville running back stopped at the 1 and took a knee, keeping the clock ticking and setting up Josh Scobee's 21-yard field goal that gave the Jaguars a 24-22 victory over the New York Jets as time expired Sunday.

I was sitting in the mancave helping my 6-year-old put together his Bionicle and watching the Jets. When the TV went black I felt a bit relieved. On some level I was thrilled because if the power stayed out I couldn't watch the Jets potentially lose another game they should have won. But, alas, the good people at my local utilities were on top of their game this day. Power was restored in a few minutes and DirecTV rebooted itself. The Jets, however, suffered from a power outage all afternoon and now have no hope of rebooting their season.

The New York Jets coach wasn't happy with his team's effort near the end of practice Thursday and let them know it. Being 4-4 just won't cut it, especially when mistakes have cost them a few games. Ryan has said the Jets could have been 6-2 if not for some foolish penalties and bad plays, while some of his players think they could be 7-1. None of that matters at the moment to Ryan.

That meant 16-year-old receivers running the same routes Jets players did in recent games. Sanchez spent his bye-week break watching video of the first half of his rookie season. When he'd see an errant throw, a missed read, poor footwork, he wanted to run out onto the field and redo the play -- and get it right this time.

Wilkinson was hurt in Sunday's 21-20 loss to the San Diego Chargers. He had surgery on Monday. He was leading the Giants with 12 tackles on special teams.

Rivers capped an 80-yard drive with an 18-yard pass to Vincent Jackson with 21 seconds to play and the San Diego Chargers stunned the Giants 21-20 on Sunday, posting their third straight win while handing New York its fourth straight loss.

Dungy has served as an adviser to Vick since the Super Bowl-winning coach retired from the Colts after last season. Now a commentator for NBC, Dungy confirmed during the pregame show Sunday night before Philadelphia hosted Dallas that the Bills and Vick "talked originally" when Vick was searching for a team after serving 18 months in federal prison for running a dogfighting ring.

Things have changed dramatically with three straight losses, and more than one Giant is putting Sunday's game with the San Diego Chargers into the better-not-lose category.
