NEW YORK (CBS) ― Whether it happened in the early 1970s or this past season, the Jets have had a flair for falling apart just when their fans figured things would finally be different. Here's a look at the worst collapses in team history:

• 1967 (started 7-2-1, finished 8-5-1)
• 1972 (started 6-3, finished 7-7)
• 1984 (started 6-2, finished 7-9)
• 1986 (started 10-1, finished 10-6, lost to Cleveland in divisional round of playoffs)
• 1993 (started 8-5, finished 8-8)
• 1994 (started 6-5, finished 6-10)
• 1997 (started 8-5, finished 9-7)
• 2000 (started 9-4, finished 9-7)
