NJ Launches '511' Travel Hotline
NEWARK, N.J. (AP) ―
Help for road warriors on New Jersey's busy highways is just three digits away.
The updated 511 travel hotline was launched Tuesday by the state Transportation Department.
The phone system is navigated by voice commands, allowing drivers to keep their hands on the wheel.
Hotline information includes traffic jams, construction, weather and E-ZPass.
The transportation department also runs a Web site -- NJ511.info -- with interactive maps.
