Car Crash Causes Scaffolding Collapse In Manhattan
NEW YORK (AP) ―
A car accident in downtown Manhattan has caused part of a scaffold to fall off a building.
Fire department officials say that two cars crashed near an office building under construction on Wall Street at 9:50 p.m. Saturday. Officials say the car accident caused part of the scaffolding at the building to collapse onto the cars.
Emergency officials were on the scene, but there was no immediate word on injuries. It wasn't clear how many people were in the cars or how the accident happened.
Fire officials say the scaffolding fell from 75 Wall Street, an office building being converted into luxury condominiums.
