Boy, 5, Killed In Brutal Car Crash In Queens

Possible Vehicle Involved In Drag Racing Collided With Family's SUV

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Police in Queens are hunting for two teenagers involved in a hit and run collision that took the life of a five-year-old boy early Thursday morning.

According to police, Jordan McLean was thrown out of his aunt's SUV when it collided with a car of teenagers drag-racing with another car. McLean's mother, who rode along in her sister's SUV is still being treated at Jamaica Hospital.

The crash happened last night at the intersection of 109th Avenue and 164th Place in Jamaica. Neighbors say it is a section of road often used for drag racing.

McLean's aunt, shaken and in pain, tried to tell CBS 2 what happened.

"two cars were racing, two cars were drag racing and one hit us," said Clarice Edwards.

Police say the teens abandoned their crumpled BMW and ran from the scene.
