Virgilio Cintron To Be Laid To Rest Tuesday
Cintron's Friends Tried To Cash His Social Security Check After He Died
NEW YORK (AP) ―
A funeral is scheduled today for the New York City man whose two friends are accused of trying to cash his Social Security check after he died.
A wake yesterday afternoon for Virgilio Cintron at a funeral home on Manhattan's Upper West Side brought together friends and relatives to mourn.
Cintron, who suffered from Parkinson's Disease, died of natural causes almost two weeks ago.
Police say his friends James O'Hare and David Daloia wheeled his corpse to a check-cashing business before being busted by an off-duty police detective.
The two friends are facing charges of fraud, petty larceny and improper handling of a body. They are out on $1,000 bail.
