A long-running Fourth of July tradition in the beachfront community of Bayville on Long Island has been ended by the town's mayor.

There was hope Friday for hundreds of job seekers.
They lined up in Queens on the hunt for much-needed work at LaGuardia and Kennedy airports.
And as CBS 2 HD found out, some of the positions may surprise you.
They lined up in a holding pattern hundreds deep. Some waited for hours.
"I've seen a lot of talent on this line so that's a sad state of affairs because they're not working," Queens Borough President Helen Marshall said.
But some soon will be working because airports are hiring baggage handlers, ticket agents, passenger screeners and other positions.
"Lawyers, doctors, nurses, pilots auditors
any and anything you find in any other industry is represented actually on airport," said Philippa Carteron of the Council for Airport Opportunity.
If you're looking for a job, an airport might not be the first place that pops into mind. But the Council for Airport Opportunity said there are more than 325,000 aviation-related jobs in the New York area.
"We're constantly hiring. There's a lot of turnover and we hire a lot," said Joe Sandin of the Transportation Security Administration.
Henroy Henry used to be a firefighter at the U.S. Naval base at Guantanamo Bay.
"I've seen here one job that I really like which is fire protection inspector. I'd really like to do that with my firefighting background," Henry said.
"I've been to the airport before and there's a lot of workers there," added another job seeker.
There's optimism and at least one perk: delays that are painful for passengers are profitable for employees.
"The flights are usually almost always delayed, so you always have to stay until the flight leaves so you always get time and a half," job seeker Joanne Fouche said.
Overtime or not, the 978 people who showed up would be glad to land any job at the airport.
Most of the jobs are entry level positions.
LaGuardia and Kennedy airports employ a combined 43,000 people.
