I am bombarded every day with ads for one new beauty product after another. I can't open a magazine without getting pushed into believing I need the latest gel, mascara, body cream…. You get the picture. Did you know Americans spend approximately $80 billion a year on products and services? I don't know about you, but I don't have the dough to buy something I'm not even sure I need!

So Sheckys.com did the grunt work for me. They just released their 2008 "Beauty At Its Best" awards. After a year of intensely testing more than 1,000 products, Shecky's chose the ones that will give you the best bang for your buck. They even tested beauty services! (How do I get a gig testing spa services?) The products range from pricey to bargain basement drugstore deals. So before you pay $125 for eye cream, see if the product your favorite gossip mag is pushing made Shecky's list.

President of Shecky's, Claudia Chan, visited us at WCBSTV.com and brought all the winning products with her. So check out which ones got the seal of approval from dozens of editors, by watching the attached video.
