Man Suspected In Harvard Shooting Back In Court
BOSTON (CBS) ―
One of two men charged in a fatal shooting at a Harvard University dormitory will be back in court in New York.
Blayn Jiggetts, of Mount Vernon, N.Y., was arrested in Harlem last month. He faces a murder charge for the shooting death of 21-year-old Justin Cosby.
Jiggetts has refused to return voluntarily to Massachusetts and is being held without bail. At a scheduled court appearance Wednesday, a judge could order an extradition hearing.
Prosecutors say the 19-year-old and two other men arranged to meet Cosby to get marijuana and rob him. Cosby was shot during a confrontation inside a common area of Kirkland House and died the next day.
None of the men was a Harvard student.
The University has about 2,401 faculty members.
