Firefighters Battle Fatal Blaze In The Bronx

1 Person Found Dead

BRONX (AP) ― One person is dead in a fire at a public housing development in the Bronx.

A fire spokesman said that the person was found on the third floor of 1775 Bruckner Boulevard. The seven-story building is part of the Bronxdale Houses development in the Bruckner section.

The deceased has not yet been identified.

The fire spokesman said the blaze began about 6:12 a.m. Firefighters are still trying to get it under control.
