Bronx Cab Driver Accused Of Murdering His Wife
BRONX (CBS) ―
A New York City Cab Driver under arrest in connection with the murder of his wife in front of their two adult sons.
The victim is identified as 49-year-old Xiomara Luciano Gil, who neighbors said spent much of her free time volunteering at her church. Police were called to the home at 2986 Lawton Avenue in the Throgs Neck section of the Bronx and found the woman stabbed.
"More cops came undercover then the fire department cameand I guess the father he locked himself cause the fire deptartment came they couldn't get him out cause he locked himself and the fire department broke down the door cause I was hearing a lot of racket up there," said neighbor Gladys Escalera.
Police said charges against the husband were pending. The couple has three children, including the two sons who live with them.
Gil is also survived by two grandchildren.
