By JOHN METAXAS, CBS 2 HD News
MOUNT SINAI, N.Y. (CBS) ― Police in Suffolk County were called to a shocking scene on Tuesday. Two small children were found face down in the family's pool.

Emmanuel Paul, 5, and 2-year-old Jeffrey Paul were found floating facedown by their 12-year-old brother shortly before 6 p.m. The olderĀ brother and his 11-year-old twin brothers managed to get them out of the pool.

The 12-year-old attempted CPR, with both children responding, while one of the 11-year-olds called 9-1-1.

Both small boys are at Stony Brook Medical Center in critical condition.

There are six children in the family, which police said is a family with a good record. The kids were home alone for no longer than 20 minutes.

The investigation is ongoing.
