College Student Accused Of Sexually Abusing Boys
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
A New York City college student who was studying to be a teacher is being held without bail on charges that he sexually abused three young boys.
Jonathan Then was arrested Thursday at Hunter College. He was arraigned Friday in Manhattan Criminal Court on charges including predatory sexual assault against a child.
Prosecutor Rachel Ferrari says the 20-year-old committed the crimes while baby-sitting. She said he was a prolific baby sitter, working for at least 20 families.
This is Then's second recent sex abuse case involving a child. He was charged in another molestation in Brooklyn last month.
Judge Kevin McGrath ordered Then placed on suicide watch.
Hunter College, located in Manhattan, is the largest college in the City University of New York (CUNY) system.
Prosecutors are asking anyone with information to call 212-335-4308.
