Crane Topple Leaves Man Dead At Construction Site

LITTLE FERRY, NEW JERSEY (AP) ―

A worker was killed when a construction crane fell and landed on him.

The accident happened at the Bergen County Utilities Authority.

The authority's executive director, Leonard R. Kaiser, told The Record of Bergen County that workers were using the crane to hoist some equipment from a wastewater tank.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.

The name of the victim, who worked for Tomar Construction, was not immediately available.

Little Ferry police did not return a message seeking comment.
