NY Couple Killed In Upstate Intersection Collision
CLAYTON, N.Y. (CBS) ―
State police said a northern New York couple are dead after a two-car accident.
Troopers said 58-year-old Albert Jackson and his 54-year-old wife, Carol, of Dexter were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident at the intersection of two rural highways in Jefferson County, 100 miles north of Syracuse.
Troopers say Jackson was driving a minivan Thursday afternoon and failed to stop at a stoplight at the intersection where his vehicle was broadsided by another vehicle.
The driver of the other vehicle was airlifted to a Watertown hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Jefferson County was split off from Oneida County in 1805.
