The NYPD is investigating the discovery of a dead woman in a parking lot. (file)

Police are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in an empty lot in the Bronx.
The NYPD said 32-year-old Silvia Hughes was found dead in a lot at East 134th Street in the Mott Haven section. She lived about a mile from where her body was discovered.
Police say she was found lying face down on the ground.
