WHITE PLAINS (CBS) ― The Westchester dentist caught by a CBS 2 HD camera pushing a woman to the ground during an apparent parking rage confrontation is telling his side of the story for the first time.

Dr. William Moody says he has been unfairly portrayed as a violent man. He spoke Monday at his White Plains office about the confrontation that's become an internet sensation.

"All the camera shows is the bad part when I got out of the car - when he opened his car door," Dr. Moody told CBS 2 HD. "It doesn't show any of the part when I'm sitting in my car begging the guy to move forward into the parking space; it doesn't show when I stuck my head in the driver's side window; it doesn't show that he spit in my face and called me a 'n------ p----'."

Dr. Moody claims Luis Infante used the N-word before the camera arrived, and chalks up his actions caught on camera a result of frustration. As for pushing Yolanda Infante – he says it's simply self defense.

"All I recall is she coming at me, putting her hands on me. I didn't know what was going to happen next," said Dr. Moody. "So I just put my hand out there to protect myself, to get her out off my personal space. I didn't know if she was going to cut me, put my eye out or anything, or anything. I did it with an open hand like that not to push her, but just to put my hand out there. Unfortunately she landed on her tush."

He has an analogy for the incident in which he is simply a force unleashed by the action for others.

"It's like seeing the end result of someone scalded with water but it doesn't show that they reached out and grabbed the pot and pulled it on themselves," said Dr. Moody.

Luis and Yolanda Infante don't see it the same way. Yolanda Infante has gotten an order of protection against Dr. Moody, in case she should run into him again near the office building where they both work.

Dr. Moody says he has been getting death threats because of the incident.
