Commercial Hi-Rise Fire Closes Stretch Of 3rd Ave.
2-Alarm Blaze Contained; No Reports Of Injuries From Early Morning Fire At 747 3rd Ave.
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
The FDNY is battling an early morning 2-alarm fire at 747 3rd Avenue. The blaze started around 5:50 a.m. in the 38-story commercial building.
3rd Avenue northbound between 44th and 47th Street has been closed as a result of the blaze, as officials border off the area to allow for fire department access.
Fire officials tell CBS 2 HD no injuries have been reported and the fire is being contained.
