NYC Firefighters Try To Rescue 3 Trapped Workers
NEW YORK (CBS) ―
New York City firefighters were attempting to rescue three workers who have been reported trapped in a sewage hole in Queens.
A Fire Department spokesman said firefighters were alerted at 2:30 p.m. Monday and sent rescue units to a site on Douglas Avenue in the Jamaica neighborhood.
The hole, located at a garbage transfer facility, was reportedly 18 feet deep and is considered a toxic environment.
No other details are immediately available.
