Ft. Dix Plot Suspects In Court Thursday

Lawyers Allege Lack Of Access To Evidence

CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) ― The government says the men accused of planning an attack on Fort Dix are getting all the access they need to the evidence against them.

The five men are scheduled to appear in court on Thursday for a bail hearing.

Their lawyers say the Federal Detention Center in Philadelphia has not given them the time they need to review video and audio recordings from their case.

The lawyers say they should be freed on bail or moved out of a protective unit of the detention center.

But the government says in a new legal filing that since December 10th the men have been working with the recordings nearly every weekday.

The five men were charged in May with conspiring to kill soldiers. They could face life in prison if convicted.
