NYPD: Passenger Shoots, Kills Cab Driver In Bronx
BRONX (CBS) ―
A livery cab driver was been shot and killed in the Bronx.
Police say the passenger shot the cab driver while they were heading south on Davidson Avenue in the Morris Heights section. No motive has been determined.
Authorities found the driver dead and the passenger trapped.
The passenger was taken into custody and then to St. Barnabas Hospital for treatment to his face and hip.
A friend of the driver said the victim was originally from Ecuador and that he was sending money back to support his wife and two children there.
Police towed the vehicle from P.S. 306 Sunday.
