Angry Pot Customer Forces Ramsey H.S. Lockdown
NEWARK, N.J. (CBS/AP) ―
Threats against a Ramsey High School student from an angry marijuana customer forced the school to lock its students inside for much of the day Tuesday.
Police said a 45-year-old unemployed married father was arrested after leaving messages on a student's cell phone Tuesday saying he'd come to the school with a gun and a baseball bat to collect the $30 he gave him to buy pot.
Ramsey police told The Record of Bergen County they arrested Howard Lowery Tuesday after tracing the calls. A phone number for Lowery's address was disconnected.
The school reopened and resumed normal activities on Wednesday.
