Rumors of Mayor Michael Bloomberg's restlessness are spreading to New York voters. A recent poll shows Bloomberg is the top choice for governor in 2010. The question however, is whether Bloomberg wants to remain in New York or head to Washington.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg may not want to be governor, but he hasn't convinced voters of that.
A Quinnipiac University Poll shows Bloomberg is the top choice for governor in 2010. The Democrat-turned-Republican-turned-independent was the choice of 30 percent of voters statewide in the poll.
He was followed by former Mayor Rudy Giuliani, a Republican, at 26 percent; Democratic Gov. David Paterson at 23 percent; and Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat, at 15 percent.
Bloomberg, however, has repeatedly said he doesn't want to be governor despite his experience with Albany. He's in his final days as mayor because of city term limits.
Quinnipiac surveyed 1,388 New York voters from June 3-8. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.6 percentage points.
