Metro-North Resuming More Disrupted Service

Metro-North has resumed rail service through Bridgeport after a complete shutdown between New Haven and South Norwalk.
Westbound train service has been restored between New Haven and Stamford, but trains will have delays of up to an hour.
Eastbound service has also been restored between New Haven and Stamford with delays of 30 minutes.
The commuter line says the tracks were closed this morning because of downed wires in Bridgeport.
A spokeswoman says that about 6:15 a.m. Thursday a train in Bridgeport got stuck and brought down power lines.
The problem had stopped all train service in both directions.
