Police Search For Missing Boater On Long Island
WEST ISLIP, N.Y. (AP) ―
Police are looking for a Long Island man after his boat was found idling with no one aboard.
Suffolk County police believe the 49-year-old man was aboard his 30-foot motor boat when he called a friend from his cell phone shortly before midnight Friday.
The 15-year-old boat was found around 2:30 a.m. Saturday with its motor running and its lights on. It was about 50 yards from shore near the Babylon Yacht Club in West Islip.
