Investigators looking for the remains of three mob victims on Long Island have unearthed bones -- but they're not from a human.
The New York City medical examiner has determined the bones are those of a dog.
The FBI is scheduled to resume digging at the East Farmingdale site on Monday.
According to Newsday, an informant recently told authorities that Carmine Gargano Jr., a Pace University student, was buried at the site, along with two Colombo crime family members believed to have been killed in underworld disputes in the 1990s.
The 21-year-old Gargano disappeared in 1994. Authorities were told he was killed in a revenge plot targeting his cousin.
