BROOKLYN (CBS/AP) ―
Three New Yorkers are dead after being struck and killed by cars in separate accidents, including a suspected hit-and-run.
All three accidents happened over less than two hours Monday night.
Police are searching for the driver of a car that hit a woman on Mother Gaston and Sutter avenues in Brooklyn about 7 p.m. before speeding off.
Forty-five-year-old Stacey Blount was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital.
A driver in another pedestrian death faces charges.
Police say they arrested a 68-year-old Queens man on charges of criminally negligent homicide and driving while intoxicated. They say he struck and killed a woman on Jamaica Avenue about 7:32 p.m.
Police are still investigating a third accident on Third Avenue in Brooklyn earlier Monday night that left a 30-year-old man dead.
