Pablo, First of all I want to wish you a speedy recovery and say how happy I am this turned out as it did. In thirty years of law enforcement both as an MP and a NY State Trooper, I saw many an accident that unfortunately had a different outcome. I know at a time like this it is hard to see a silver lining, but hopefully more people will realize how important their seat belts really are. Get well soon!
-Roger Chillemi, Hampton Bays, N.Y.

Dear Pablo: I woke up yesterday to the news of your accident and then heard the Lou Young report. We are so thankful that you are okay. We were in an accident 12 years ago. I still remember that smell and smoke filling the car. My mother had the seat belt mark across her chest also. We thank the Good Lord that He shielded you from further injuries and that you had the good sense to wear that belt. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and may God continue to bless you.
-Sincerely, The Steele Family, Locust Valley, N.Y.
