Pit Bull Dragged Behind Pickup; SCPA Seeks Driver

VINELAND, N.J. (CBS) ― Authorities are trying to find the person who tied a pit bull to the bumper of a pickup truck and dragged it through a New Jersey neighborhood.

Vineland police got a call about the dragging on Saturday night and the young pit bull turned up the next morning on the porch of a nearby home.

The animal had road burns all over the right side of her body. Her skin is gone above her right eye. Her foot pads and some of her nails were missing.

Cumberland County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Executive Director Bev Greco said the animal has been friendly to her handlers despite her pain.
