Mother And Baby Stable After Hit And Run Incident
Man Holding 1-Year-Old Died After Being Struck By Car
QUEENS (`) ―
A baby sustained minor injuries when he, his mother and his mother's male friend were all hit by a car in Queens. The 28-year-old man was carrying the 1-year-old for his friend when the hit and run occurred.
The baby flew out of his arms and sustained minor injuries from being dropped. The man was killed and the baby's mother was injured.
She and her child are in stable condition at Jamaica Hospital.
Police are continuing to search for the driver who hit them all and drove away. They are asking the public's help in locating the suspect.
"The vehicle was probably going at least 90 miles an hour. He struck three people in the medium of sunrise, and then he struck me at Hickory and Sunrise," witness Roberto Archibald said.
The car is described as a black 2000 Nissan Maxima with a DVH1449 New York license plate.
