No NYC Garbage Collection On New Year's Day

NEW YORK (AP) ― There will be no garbage or recycling collection in New York City on New Year's Day.

The Sanitation Department says street cleaning also will be suspended.

Residents who normally put out their garbage on Thursday will have it picked up on Friday, Jan. 2, instead.
